CONCEPT planning

I first need to wrap my head around the concept of your application, thoroughly. At that point I will create a visual process flow & some screen mockups to assure I’m on the right track.

Visual & UX Design

After the concept is in place, I will design pixel-perfect screens and a click-through presentation so that you can see the app come to life before the backend development process even begins.

Development

This is where the front & back-end coding process begins. This is typically where most of the time is invested but throughout this process you will begin to see your application come to life.

Launch & Monitor

I don’t just hand over an app file and run. I will guide you through the entire publication process of getting your app on the Apple & Android marketplace.

Common Questions

What do apps cost?

If you go to a large agency, apps can cost tens of thousands of dollars, $30,000 – $300,000. If you hire a small team and/or individual (like myself) who is capable of handling all aspects of your app, you’re looking to spend within a range of 5 – 25k depending not he complexity of the app. Most of the apps I’ve developed fall within the range of about $10,000 and $12,500.

How long do they take?

I can launch most app concepts within 3 months. The more complex apps can take 3-6 months.

What is the process?

Whether by email, phone or screen-shares, I will first need a very clear understanding of your idea. At that point I create flow-diagrams & design the screens themselves. I will produce a click-through presentation to assure we’re on the right track. Once all checks-out we move onto the development phase (coding). This is where a bulk of waiting happens. Below is a break-down of the primary milestones of creating an app:

M0 – Design & Concept
M1 – Front-End Design & Click-Through
M2 – Partial functioning app review (70% complete)
M3 – Final completion & testing of the app
M4 – Launch to the app stores

Who all is involved in the development?

I myself play the role of the project manager, designer, tester & publisher. I have a small team of very experienced developers whom handle the coding, which I work with on an hourly-basis.

Do you sign an NDA?

Yes, I will sign any sort of confidential agreement that you feel is necessary. I do not discuss projects with anyone but my dev team.
