Today I design book interiors and covers for authors and publishers, and I work in Adobe InDesign every day. When you hire me, you work with me directly, from the first sample to your final print-ready files.
Book design questions
What is the difference between book formatting and book interior design?
Formatting sets your manuscript up correctly for print or eBook: trim size, margins, page numbers and front and back matter. Interior design gives the pages a custom look, with typography, chapter openers and layout. Most books need both, and I do them together.
How much does book design cost?
Pricing depends on page count, images and how custom the design is. Formatting starts at $450, $850 for interior design and $500 for cover design, with bundled packages available. See book design pricing.
Do you design the cover and the interior?
Yes. Designing both together means the cover and interior share fonts, colors and feel. Cover design is included with interior packages.
Do you work with authors outside Texas?
Yes. I'm based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and work with authors and publishers remotely, anywhere.
What files do I receive?
A print-ready PDF for your printer and eBook files for digital platforms, plus your cover files.
