Professional book cover design
A book cover design is the front, spine and back of your book, built to stand out on a shelf and as a small thumbnail online. I design custom covers for print and eBook, matched to your interior so the whole book looks like it belongs together.
What a cover design includes
A complete cover, ready for your printer and for online stores.
What makes a book cover work
Most readers first see your cover as a small thumbnail. A strong cover reads clearly at that size, with a title you can read at a glance and one clear focal point.
It also signals the right genre. A memoir, a business book and a children's book each follow different visual conventions, and readers notice when a cover breaks them. I design to your genre while keeping your book from looking like everyone else's.
Finally, the cover should match what's inside. When your cover and interior design share fonts and colors, the book feels professionally published.

Book cover design questions
How much does a book cover design cost?
My book cover design starts at $500. The price depends on whether you need a full wrap or an eBook-only cover, and how custom the artwork is. See full pricing.
What is a full wrap cover?
A full wrap is the front cover, spine and back cover designed as one flat file, so a printed paperback or hardcover can be produced from it.
Do you need my page count before designing the cover?
For the print wrap, yes. Spine width depends on your final page count and paper type, so I finalize the wrap once your interior is complete. I can start the front cover earlier.
Can you design only the cover?
Yes. Cover design can be hired on its own. It is included with interior design packages.
What do I need to send you?
Your title, subtitle and author name, a short book description, back-cover copy and bio, and examples of covers you like. I'll ask for anything else I need.
Can you design an eBook cover?
Yes. Every cover package includes an eBook cover sized for digital stores.
